Dear Friends and Supporters of S.O.S. Ministries,

My husband Leonard and I have just returned from a Mission Trip into the interior of Mexico with Paul and Tere Gonzalez.

We visited different pastors and their missions in the state of Veracruz and supplied them with bibles, supplies for their Bible Schools and recreational programs, toiletries, food and drink items, etc.

In the state of Oaxaca we traveled the incredibly steep and winding roads into the Sierra Norte mountain range to bring to the schools of the poverty-stricken indigenous peoples sorely needed school supplies, Bibles, sports equipment and toys.

I could talk for hours about our experiences on this trip, but I'll only mention a most important  opportunity for Christian evangelism among the Mexican people which Paul would like to act on in the very near future.

Mexico celebrates Children's Day on April 30th. It is a very important holiday in Mexico, because children are very precious to the Mexicans.

The pastor of a church in the town of Alvarado was asked by the mayor to organize the festivities surrounding Children's Day, while the city supplies the presents for the children. Along with these gifts, the pastor would like to present each child with a children's New Testament as a fantastic opportunity for evangelism. However, he does not have the funds to by 3000 New Testaments. These New Testaments, especially for children cost $30.00 for a case of 104.

S.O.S. Ministries would like to be instrumental in seeing that this pastor gets his wish. So again, Paul Gonzalez calls on your christian love and generosity to help out financially. Would you contribute $30.00 for one case? Or could you do even better and supply several cases? Please, don't wait! April 30th is coming up fast and a great opportunity could be lost!

Yours in Christ,

Janet Paul
